We are absolutely delighted to be featured in the Good Food Guide 2014 for the fifth year running!
Since being awarded the Best New Entry award in 2010, for the whole of the UK, we have seen our restaurant becoming extremely popular whilst retaining the quality of food and service at all times. This is reflected in our cooking score and we are grateful to our diners for their support and positive feedback.
We are also very proud to be recommended again in the Michelin Guide 2014 for the fifth year running.
We all had a very exciting day filming for the "Let there be Beer" campaign which was shown during Sunday Brunch with Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.

The other good news is the fact that we have extended our restaurant, giving us the opportunity to accommodate more diners, whilst retaining the same high quality food and service. Here at Da Piero we take great pride in offering authentic Italian cuisine in welcoming surroundings. We are also open for lunch (from Wednesday to Saturday) and serve home made pizza at lunch time only!
Dietary requirements: We have vegetarian and vegan menus to satisfy the requests of diners. In Italy it is quite common to have many vegetable dishes suitable for both and Piero is delighted to introduce them to our restaurant. We also have many dishes suitable for diners with various allergies/food intolerances and we are always happy to discuss these with you.
Ingredients: We have recently imported more products from Italy which are to be tasted to appreciate the amazing flavours. We are now using lemons from the Amalfi coast and Pachino vine tomatoes from Sicily which are very sweet. Olives include Nocellara del Belice (green) and anchovies from Sicily. Extra virgin olive oil is from Val di Mazara, central Sicily. Our sea salt continues to be imported directly from the salt pans in Trapani.
We have also introduced Italian ice cream, made by Piero and Alan, to our menu and keeping to our high standards for providing only top quality ingredients we use Jersey milk, Madagascar bourbon vanilla pods, pistachio from Bronte in Sicily and real amaretto liqueur. The sorbets are made using Amalfi coast lemons.
Piero, from Sicily and Alan, our son, continue to strive to exceed your expectations and you are guaranteed consistently to find top quality dishes prepared to Piero's very high standards. Piero is just as passionate about wine as he is about food, in fact our wine list features many prize-winning Italian wines at very reasonable prices.
Group bookings: We have specialised in catering for events in our restaurant since we opened. The menu can be tailor-made to suit your requirements - both for price per person and for dish choices. We are also quite happy to open at lunch times or earlier in the evening if your group prefers this. If your party is 18, then the whole new area is yours for the evening. Smaller parties can, of course, still be catered for and will be accommodated on either side, depending on the other bookings. Just call Dawn at the restaurant to arrange an appointment to discuss your requirements and to read the testimonials from some of our customers who have organised events here.
Gift Vouchers: These are available on request and are for the amount you require. An excellent gift idea for lovers of Italian food!
Your Reservation: Although we are only a small restaurant we will not rush you to finish your meal - in fact your table is yours for the evening. If you are tired of restaurants with table time restrictions, treat yourself to an oasis of calm: relax and enjoy yourselves. Booking is essential as we don't want to disappoint you but when we are full we are full! Please note we do not add a service charge to your bill and gratuities remain at your discretion.
